Shella Sadovnik is a knowledgeable and creative litigator with extensive experience practicing in both "Big Law" and smaller boutique firms. Ms. Sadovnik joined Twersky PLLC as counsel in 2016 after practicing complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation at a boutique commercial litigation firm in New York City.

Ms. Sadovnik is responsible for helping shape the strategy in our complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense cases and then applying that strategy to help craft the briefs, motions and pleadings necessary for a successful litigation. Ms. Sadovnik's practice includes everything from drafting, client interviews, depositions, oral arguments, trials and appeals in both state and federal court.

After graduating law school, Ms. Sadovnik practiced for several years at one of the country's preeminent law firms, Morrison & Foerster LLP, in Los Angeles, and then made the cross-country move to a boutique litigation and bankruptcy firm in New York City. At Morrison & Foerster LLP, Ms. Sadovnik handled multi-million and billion dollar cases, including labor disputes with a large grocery store chain and the infamous Apple v. Samsung patent infringement case. Ms. Sadovnik was also responsible for handling all aspects of complex commercial litigation, including conducting a trial in Federal Court and drafting and arguing appellate briefs in the California Supreme Court, the Appellate Division of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Sadovnik has also drafted a Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Sadovnik lives in New York City and enjoys politics and blogging in her free time.

Education:

Ms. Sadovnik received her B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, where she was on the Loyola Law School Law Review, and a member of the St. Thomas More Society, reserved for the top 5% of the 1L class.

At Stanford University, Ms. Sadovnik was an academic All-American and the captain of the NCAA Division I synchronized swimming team, where she competed both for Stanford University and represented the United States on the U.S. National Team. Ms. Sadovnik was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was six years old. She is fluent in Russian, and proficient in both Hebrew and French.
